Summary:
In this 10 days safari, you will explore the three biggest National Parks (Akagera National park,
Nyungwe National park, and Volcanoes national park) in Rwanda. You will track the critically
endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park located in the Virunga Mountains.
This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth!!! You get so close to
these awesome giant primates.

Transportation – 4×4 Safari Land cruiser / Minivan (up to eight passengers) with pop-up
tops and seven window seats for game viewing. Groups of twelve or more people who
would like to travel in one vehicle are offered 25-28 seat coasters that have about 16
window seats. Our Safari vehicles are well maintained to provide maximum level of
comfort and safety.

See plenty of wildlife in Akagera National Park. Have a lovely breakfast and drive off to the
beautiful Akagera National Park. The journey is amazing as you will see magnificent sceneries,
the vehicle can be stopped at any time to take pictures and get a closer view at interesting
features. We arrive during lunchtime and check in to our desired lodges. In the afternoon, we go
for a game drive; you will get a chance to see animals such as elephants, Impalas, Zebras, and
many others. Make sure your camera is fully charged to enable you to take the best shots as you catch a glance at the animals. After a wonderful time in the park, we return to the lodge. Have dinner and overnight at Akagera game lodge. Akagera Game Lodge is located in the south of Akagera National Park in Kayonza District,
Eastern Province, Rwanda. You can access the hotel via Rwamagana, Kabarondo and
Rwinkwavu Road. The trip from Kigali to the hotel will only take you 2 hours. From the lodge,
you can enjoy some pretty amazing views of Lake Ihema. It offers comfortable accommodation
with simple but tastefully furnished rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a curio bar, a tennis court, and a few other life comforts. Usual board basis is there is access to wifi and television for those who cannot live without communication channels.
Wake up early morning, have breakfast, and proceed for a second-morning game drive. We will drive to the northern part of the park to see the early risers as they go back to sleep. Such animals are only active at night and rarely seen during the day. As you drive through, you see animals like bushbucks, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions, and many others. You will see them in large numbers as they try to look for pasture. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, we get ready for the boat cruise on Lake Ihema, you will get a chance to see hippos thrashing the water, crocodiles basking in the sun, different bird species, and other animals seen at a distance. Have a beautiful breakfast and drive off to Nyungwe National Park. The journey will be
interesting with stopovers; you will visit the Butare Museum and Nyanza museum. You will take
nice pictures and get information about Rwanda’s culture. Have lunch and proceed to the park.

Nyungwe One & Only Lodge Located in the heart of a tea plantation with a stunning jungle

Nyungwe Top View Hotel is idyllically situated on top of one of the hills of Nyungwe forest

Gisakura Guest House is located 2km outside the Nyungwe National Park close to the
Gisakura Tea Estate precisely on the road from Park to Rusizi former Cyangugu. Its
accommodation is extremely cheap and comfortable. Rooms are of three categories furnished with shower and hot water is always available from the electric heater.
Have an early morning breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the
rules of tracking the chimpanzees. The encounter is amazing as you hike through the jungle, you
will get a chance to see them face to face as they do their daily work; some playing, feeding and
others resting. They will surely entertain you and all you have to do is to take as many pictures
as possible. After a thrilling moment with the chimpanzees, return to the lodge for lunch and in
the afternoon, go for colobus monkey tracking. As you hike, you will come across other primates
such as vervet monkeys, baboons, and others. Bird watchers will get a chance to see many

Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is located on the foothills of Mount Karisimbi, one of the
volcanic mountains that make up the Virunga Massif. The lodge is about 10 minutes drive to the
main entrance of the Volcanoes National Park where gorilla trekking starts. Mountain Gorilla
View Lodge is an Eco-lodge with 30 spacious chalets. To ensure the least disruption of the
surrounding environment, the Ecolodge was constructed with locally available material. Every
chalet comes with a sitting area with a fireplace and has a tea/coffee making machine.

Garden Place Hotel: The hotel is the best place you would rather be. It is situated in Ruhengeri
offering comfortable stylish accommodation to both business and holiday travelers. It takes an
hour and 30 minutes drive from the airport to the lodge hence easy access. Regarding the rooms,
the hotel has 28 rooms divided into 17 double, 2 VIP’s and 9 standard rooms. Both rooms have
modern bathrooms with plenty of hot water and pressure, hairdryers, telephone, flat-screen
satellite TV, and balcony for great views.
Have a pretty breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and
guidelines that govern tracking the gorillas in the park. The activity takes about 2 to 8 hours with
strictly one hour of being with the gorillas. The experience of hiking through the jungle is
breathtaking and some level of physical fitness is required. Accessibility of the gorillas will
depend on where they were the previous day. Confronting the gentle giants will be breathtaking,
you will see them do their daily routine; mothers feeding their young ones, playing, feeding and
others resting. You are kindly asked to keep a distance while watching the gorillas. Silence must
be observed and remember to remove your flashlight because it distracts them. After a thrilling moment with the gorillas, return to your lodge and relax. In the afternoon, you may opt for a cultural walk or nature walk. You will see the Banyarwanda community and how much they
value their culture, they will entertain you with A group of gorillas relaxing their traditional
dance and you may participate if you so wish. You will drive to visit the beautiful twin lakes and

Have an early morning breakfast and set off for the golden monkey tracking. As you hike, you
will meet other primates along the path. Spotting the golden monkeys in the wild will be amazing; you will see them jump from one branch of a tree to another. Others will be playing and feeding. Make sure your camera is on standby because you may miss to take the best shots in
stunning positions.

Go hike Dian Fossey at Karisoke research center; Dian Fossey was an American primatologist
who struggled to protect the lives of the gorillas. She was killed and buried adjacent to Digit, a
mountain gorilla. Drive to Lake Kivu and enjoy the cool environment of relaxation. Have dinner

Lake Kivu Serena Hotel has located just 3 km from the center of Gisenyi-the western edge of Rwanda's a large, international-style hotel with a range of facilities and activities, and fronted by a long beach. The 66 en-suite rooms at Lake Kivu Serena are set in two diagonal lines, one overlooking the gardens and the other facing the communal areas below and with views over the lake; we would definitely recommend
the lake-view rooms. The facilities at the Lake Kivu Serena are excellent. There is a large swimming pool overlooking the lake, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas dotted around. A shallow children’s swimming pool adjoins the main pool, although parental supervision is recommended. Loungers and umbrellas are set out, too, along the beach that runs in front of the hotel. There are tennis courts that guests can use as well as a watersports center with catamaran, jet skis and more.
Stipp Hotel Gisenyi is situated in Gisenyi. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also boasts a
restaurant and an outdoor pool. Volleyball and basketball is an 8-minute walk from the property.

Have a wonderful breakfast and get ready for a boat cruise, you will ride up to the coffee island
and enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding islands. Return to the hotel and drive off to
Kigali. Depending on the time, you may visit a few shops and buy yourself a souvenir. If you
have no flight, check in to your hotel, and if you have driven off to the airport for your flight back
