DAY 1: TRAVEL TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel after an early breakfast, and you will travel to the west to Mbarara and then in a south western direction to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After 1-2 hours depending on the traffic) you will cross the Equator, and stop at the Equatorial Café for some refreshments and a look at the many handicrafts that are for sale in that community. Another couple of hours drive you will reach Mbarara, where you will take lunch at Igongo Cultural Center and hotel. After lunch, you will continue to the Forest through the beautiful hills of Kigezi. Reach Bwindi later in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: GORILLA TRACKING
Early morning breakfast make a short drive down the road to the starting point for the Gorilla Trekking. You will be taken by your safari guide to the Ranger Station, where you will receive a short briefing with instructions on how to behave in the forest. You will be sorted into small groups of no more than 8 people and assigned a particular Gorilla family to track. Then the journey begins in the forest to seek out the gorillas.
The staff at your accommodation will pack you a lunch, as it is uncertain how long you will be tracking in the forest. The Gorillas set up a new camp every night, so they are constantly on the move, and sometimes locating them can take many hours. When you do locate the Gorilla family, you will be allowed one hour to watch and photograph them, after which you will return to the Ranger Station and re-group with all the trackers for graduation and getting the gorilla tracking certificate. You will return to your accommodation afterwards; if there is time, one can go on a walk to visit the Batwa villages, or one of the many handicraft shops set up on the roadside to buy some of the local products that the villagers produce. Dinner will be served in the evening at your lodge.
