 Transportation – 4×4 Safari Landcruiser / Minivan (up to eight passengers) with pop-up tops
and seven window seats for game viewing.Groups of twelve or more people who would like
to travel in one vehicle are offered 25-28 seat coasters that have about 16 window seats.
Our Safari vehicles are well maintained to provide maximum level of comfort and safety.

Day One: Transfer to Akagera National Park

You are personally met by Kubwa Five Safari driver/guide upon arrival at Kanombe (Kigali) airport and transferred to Akagera National Park. This park has beautiful undulating plains with dense, broad-leafed woodland, lighter acacia woodland, and rolling grassland with an extensive series of lakes linked by papyrus swamps forming a sprawling wetland. Meals and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge, (Full Board). Akagera Game Lodge is located in the south of Akagera National Park in Kayonza District, Eastern Province, Rwanda. You can access the hotel via Rwamagana, Kabarondo, and Rwinkwavu Road. The trip from Kigali to the hotel will only take you 2 hours. From the lodge, you can enjoy some pretty amazing views of Lake Ihema. It offers comfortable accommodation with simple but tastefully furnished rooms, a restaurant, swimming pool, curio bar, tennis court, and a few other life comforts. Usual board basis is there is access to wifi and television for those who cannot live without communication channels.

Day Two: Akagera National Park

Spend the whole day at Akagera National Park with game drives aiming to spot elephants, buffalos, giraffes, and lions and antelopes. Meals and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge, (Full Board).

Day Three: Butare and then Nyungwe National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Butare and visit the National Museum, which has a fine display of the history of the country and people. Have lunch at Ibis Hotel then continue to Nyungwe National Park. Meals and overnight at Gisakura guesthouse, (Full Board). Gisakura Guest House is located in 2km outside the Nyungwe National Park close to the Gisakura Tea Estate precisely on the road from Park to Rusizi former Cyangugu. Its accommodation is extremely cheap and comfortable. Rooms are of three categories furnished with shower and hot water is always available from the electric heater.

Day Four: Nyungwe National Park to Lake Kivu

This park is home to 13 primate species (including chimps and colobus monkeys), around 300 bird species, 24 of which are regional endemics, and over 100 varieties of orchids and butterflies. Lunch at Gisakura guesthouse then drive to Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Kibuye Guesthouse, (Full Board). Kibuye Guest House is situated in the western part of Rwanda, was built on the shores of Lake Kivu. It is approximately 140km from Kigali city. Welcome to Kibuye Guest House. Rwanda recently the guest house was renovated and now it’s well managed to make your stay comfortable. It offers other facilities that include conferences, events, workshops, and seminars, equipment are provided to make your conference a success. Internet is accessible. The guest house is perfectly situated away from the disturbances of the city.

Day Five: Lake Kivu

Morning boat ride on the lake. Lake Kivu, on the Rwanda/Congo border, is a giant inland Lake with some interesting lakeside towns. Drive along the lake to Gisenyi. Dinner and overnight at Kivu Sun Hotel (Full Board). Kivu Sun Hotel is a newly constructed hotel and located in Gisenyi. It’s a 4-star hotel and lies on the shores of Lake Kivu in the western part of Visit Kivu Sun Hotel in Rwanda Rwanda. The hotel offers 66 rooms beautifully designed, these include 23 family rooms and 6 suites. Whichever room you decide to take, you will feel comfortable and away from home. The hotel offers two exquisite restaurants; the Kivu Sands is in charge of organizing buffet breakfast, dinner, lunch, and an a la carte option. The bar is fully stocked with a collection of wines and spirits and the terrace offers entertainment in the evenings. Meals are delicious and well prepared by an expert chef; both local and international ingredients are used.

Day Six: Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Ruhengeri/Kinigi. We embark on gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. When we get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for a late lunch. Some gorilla families, however, are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day. Meals and overnight at Gorillas Nest Lodge, (Full Board). Gorillas Nest Lodge is lodge is situated at the foothill of the Virunga Volcanoes and it takes about 5minutes to access the park headquarters. The lodge has a standby generator where you can charge a few of your gadgets. The lodge is adjacent to the entrance of Parc National des Volcans located in the northern part of Rwanda. It’s surrounded by a grove of trees that offer a calm environment to the lodge. On a sunny day, you will get a beautiful view of the volcanoes. Its closeness to the National Park makes it an ideal place for gorillas trekking.

Day Seven: Back to Kigali

We drive back to Kigali and embark on a city tour visiting the Genocide memorial site and African art and craft markets. Transfer to the airport for your flight.
