8 Day Safari | Botswana Kalahari Tour | Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Day 1 (Minimum 2 x Adults per tour reservation) Twee Rivieren Start your magical adventure through the Kalahari. Safari Tented Tour guests will be picked up in Upington at your accommodation (Pickup Time: 9am). Enjoy your first delicious safari meal prepared by Zasendle Adventures whilst socializing around the campfire and getting to know one another. Accommodation: Tented Meals: Dinner Day 2 Nossob Depart for Nossob Rest Camp where we will be spending the next two nights. En route we will be stopping for lunch as well as visiting the Auchterlonie Museum which houses displays of the Park's history. Relax with another delicious dinner accompanied by more socializing around the campfire. Accommodation: Tented Meals: Breakfast/Dinner Day 3 Nossob Early start with coffee and rusks followed by breakfast. Choose to either explore the camp surrounds or go further afield and do a game drive to experience what the park has to offer. The campsite watering hole provides some entertaining moments for those who wish to remain within the camp. Another evening is spent around the campfire sharing stories of the day’s adventures. Accommodation: Tented Meals: Breakfast/Dinner Day 4-5 Kaa Gate After an early start and breakfast, we head north, crossing the Nossob River into the Botswana section of the Transfrontier Park, towards the Kaa Gate. It is a beautiful drive through some of the most amazing dune fields. Depart late afternoon leaving through Kaa Gate and entering the community concession areas. The next two days will entail travelling through one of the wildest and most remote places in Southern Africa. The terrain will consist of two-spoor tracks, cutlines, and bush driving through the red Kalahari sand and savannah. The area is renowned for its low lying pans which are visited by giant eland, springbok, gemsbok as well as the famous Kalahari lions. This great unfenced wilderness area is more than twice the size of the Kruger National Park. The only evidence of man are the sandy imprints of their vehicles making this remote and unspoilt wilderness a sight to behold. Experience camping in the wild for two nights along the magnificent salt pans, marveling at the sights and sounds that this majestic wilderness has to offer. Accommodation: Tented Meals: Breakfast/Dinner Day 6-7 Mabuasehube Depart after an early breakfast and drive towards the small Botswana village of Hukuntsi which is located in the northern part of the concession area. After replenishing much needed water and fuel supplies we head towards Mabuasehube Reserve which is on the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, to spend two nights in the campsite on the edge of the Mabua Pan. This area is known for sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, honey badger as well as hyena and the sunsets are spectacular to behold. Accommodation: Tented Meals: Breakfast/Dinner Day 8 Tshabong Pack up and depart after a lavish breakfast for the journey home. Travelling across sandy cutlines towards Tshabong. Followed by an approximate 20km drive further along a tarred road to the border post and then another 215km to Kuruman and then towards Upington. Accommodation: Not Included Meals: Breakfast
